printmaking
When I made this, I started by sketching out ideas on scratch paper. After I got the design I wanted , I redrew it to the size of the linoleum piece. Then I transferred it on to the linoleum and carved out everything that I wanted white. I rolled on the skin colored ink with a brayer. Then I made four prints (see second picture). After that, I carved out what I wanted skin color and left what I wanted black. I rolled on the black ink and printed on top of the dried skin color prints. I am most proud of the way the skin color turned out because it had to be mixed. I want to say thank you Mrs. Meyer for blending the skin color for me.
